WARNING: Spoiler Alert!!! The conclusion of John Grisham's The Associate sucks! The hero walking off into the sunset having done nothing to resolve the crisis other than having survived is a lousy way to end a novel. Is the bad guy really a bad guy? Did he really do the bad things attributed to him? Does anybody really care? The reader doesn't have a real clue. The reader doesn't even have a phoney clue. And this reader didn't really care.
