We can add healthcare facility to the list of places Coloradoans have now been terrorized.
We can now add theology to the laundry list of reasons these home-grown (domestic) terrorist have used for indiscriminately shooting their fellow Coloradoans.
Parisians are slaughtered in mass and our Congressional representatives are falling over themselves in a pathetic attempt to assuage out fears by trumpeting all that they want to do to protect us from Syrian widows and orphan children who dare to seek refuge here in the “land of the free and the home of the brave.”
I’m certain there are a lot of Islamic theocratic terrorist plotting to attack the Great Satan. In fact I read the other day that according to the Government Accountability Office people on a “watch list” of suspected terrorist in the US attempted 2,233 to purchase firearms and explosives between February 2004 and December 2014. In 91-percent of cases these folks on a watch list successfully cleared a background check.
That means that each month for 119 months there were 18.76 attempts each month by suspected terrorists already living in the US to purchase a firearm or explosive and 2,032.03 were cleared to do so after a “background check.”
And what has Congress done?
NOTHING!
To be fair to Congress, a few level-headed members have tried to do something, such as “enhance the background checks.” As the Denver Post editorial board – not a hotbed of progressive or liberal thinkers – noted recently such action should be a “no brainer.” But the Regressive No Brainers in Congress have done NOTHING!
To be on the “watch list” a person must “be active in an organization pushing for jihad, or have given money to a terrorist group, or actually participated in terrorist activities.” But Congress can’t find their fiddles, much less find the responsibility to take what is clearly a “no brainer” action and make certain that background checks are sufficiently thorough to find and stop everyone on a terrorist watch list from buying a firearm.
Instead Congress howls at the moon about stopping widows and orphans fleeing the barbarism of monstrous Islamic theocrats from entering the US.
And what happens here in Colorado? Domestic (non-Islamic) terrorist ravage our healthcare clinics, our movie theaters, our pizza parlors and our high schools. And our Regressive Colorado Congressional delegation can’t even tune their damn fiddles, much less play them.
We’re being killed indiscriminately by domestic terrorist, who can obtain firearms as easily as anyone one on a watch list of people known to associate or support terrorism and Congress can only yowl about widows and orphans who have harmed no one and are willing to risk coming to the US, where they are at risk of being maligned and even attacked by our home grown theocratic terrorists.
God help us all.
